Developmental and Intellectual Disability Services in Bend, OR
Supporting People with ID/DD across Central Oregon
Central Oregon covers thousands of square miles, stretching from the Cascade Mountains to the high desert communities of eastern Oregon. Through our Bend office, Premier Community Supports serves individuals and families throughout Deschutes, Crook, Jefferson, and Lake counties, providing developmental disability services that help people remain connected to their communities while pursuing greater independence and personal growth.
Serving four counties means no two experiences look exactly alike. An individual living in downtown Bend may have access to different opportunities than someone in Madras, Prineville, or Lakeview. Community resources, transportation options, and support networks can vary widely throughout the region. Our team understands those differences and works to build supports that reflect each individual’s goals, strengths, and local community.
As Central Oregon continues to grow, so do the opportunities available to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. New employers, expanding communities, and increased recreational opportunities have created more ways for individuals to engage with their communities than ever before. Our role is helping people access those opportunities while building the skills and confidence needed to pursue the life they want.
Many of the individuals and families we serve are referred through local developmental disabilities programs, brokerages, case managers, and support coordinators. Others find us while exploring their options for disability support services within Central Oregon. No matter where someone begins their journey, our team is available to answer questions and help identify services that align with their needs and goals.
Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we focus on creating personalized supports that help individuals thrive in the environments where they live, work, and spend their time. Through our In-Home Support Services and Day Support Services, individuals can develop life skills, participate in community activities, build relationships, and pursue greater independence. Whether someone enjoys outdoor recreation, volunteer opportunities, social activities, or learning new skills, we work to support their involvement in meaningful ways.
Meaningful employment is another important part of community involvement for many individuals. Our Employment Services team works throughout Central Oregon to help people explore career interests, discover their strengths, connect with employers, and succeed in the workplace. We partner with businesses across the region while providing the coaching and support needed to help individuals build lasting employment success.
For individuals who may benefit from additional behavioral support, our Positive Behavior Support Specialist Services provide strategies and guidance designed to improve quality of life, strengthen independence, and support positive outcomes at home, at work, and in the community.
Our Bend office also regularly hires Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) throughout Deschutes, Crook, Jefferson, and Lake counties.
